Chesapeake College Students Appear on WMDT to Talk About The Clothesline Project
Chesapeake College students Beverly Brooks and Terese Martinetti appeared on WMDT Sunday morning during the news show’s Good Things segment to explain The Clothesline Project currently being assembled at the College.
In addition to sharing the concept behind the project, Brooks shared her own experiences with domestic violence and its effects, as well as steps survivors and victim’s close ones can heal from these traumas.
“The students have done an incredible job putting together our Chesapeake Clothesline and we are in our last days preparing for the display,” Assistant Professor of Communication Amy Childs said. “Beverly and Terese’s appearance made more in our community aware of the project and they were incredibly professional and well spoken.”
It is not too late to participate. Shirt kits are still available for pick up in the following locations:
- Wye Mills: Caroline College Center, Room C-217
- Cambridge Center: Main Office
